Programming

R.I.S.E. programming revolves around supporting our newest students while providing a structure for our mentors to thrive as they connect with mentees. Our programming changes from year to year to better address the needs of our students and addresses the feedback provided during end-of-year surveys.

  • Active membership during the academic year (96 students)
  • 24 Mentors (second-year students)
  • 73 Mentees (first-year students)
  • Representation from all departments and masters program types
  • 8 Monthly Mentor Meetings and 1 full-day Mentor Training
  • 3 Individual Check-In Meetings between mentors and mentees (2 in Fall semester, 1 in Spring)
