Publications

Our students’ publications demonstrate how they thrive in SMS’s extraordinary intellectual environment environment. In the 2015-16 academic year, for example, doctoral students’ first-authored publications appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine, Medical Anthropology Quarterly, Culture Health and Sexuality, and Milbank Quarterly. In past years, SMS students were first authors on papers published in Behavioral Medicine, the American Journal of Public Health, Human Organization, Global Public Health, Social Science and Medicine, and Ethos – to name just a few. Whether as sole authors or in collaboration with faculty mentors, our students’ productivity demonstrates their promise as the next generations’ intellectual leaders.
