Fellowships and Post-doctoral Positions:

Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the field of climate science with a specialization in extreme heat and human health needed at the Climate & Water Lab in the Department of Earth, Environmental and Planetary Sciences at Rice University. The position requires a strong background in climate science & modeling, as well as with high-resolution weather and climate instrumental data. Experience in numerical/statistical and geospatial modeling is required, and experience running CAM5/6 and/or CESM is preferred. Both domestic and international applicants are welcome. A Ph.D. is required at the time of appointment. Multiple NIH-funded disease ecology postdoc positions are available in Mordecai Lab at Stanford University to study environmental drivers of vector-borne diseases. Flexible start date. Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health (Harvard C-CHANGE), Climate and Human Health Fellowship; The Climate and Human Health Fellowship trains physicians to examine and advance evidence-based policies that help build climate-resilient communities and health systems. LMIC Travel Award Opportunity

Sapporo Exposome Symposium, 27-29 May 2024: Aging and the Exposome: Research Implications for Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias

We invite applications from early stage investigators and trainees from research institutions in low- to middle-income countries (LMIC) to attend and present a poster at the upcoming Exposome Symposium in Sapporo, Japan. Awards will cover airfare, local transportation, and hotel up to $1800 US dollars per person. Posters are invited on topics related to exposomics and environmental health. Posters can cover a wide range of subjects within these fields. Additionally, there's a specific interest in posters that relate to the theme of the symposium: Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias. For these disease-related topics, submissions can include either exposomic and/or genomic perspectives.
