GE is committed to training 100,000 healthcare workers globally over a three-year span and sought help from Columbia Mailman School to create, validate and deliver a customized emergency medicine curriculum to build capacity among workers at district hospitals in India. The project included a post-training monitoring and evaluation plan. Additionally, researchers worked with general practitioners at hospitals in India to create a course focused on point-of-care ultrasound techniques. This work was informed in part by the School’s training program developed for sub-Saharan Africa.
