What Can HIV/AIDS Teach Us About Ebola?

Wafaa El-Sadr, MD, MPH, University Professor of Epidemiology and Medicine and Director of ICAP at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health, has built a global network to combat HIV in the countries hardest hit by the epidemic. As Ebola transmissions continue in West Africa, Dr. El-Sadr alerts us to the challenge of stigma, based on years of experience fighting HIV and AIDS.
