As part of the observance of 400 Years of Inequality, we are hosting another Readings & Discussion event.

Marsha P. Johnson, a transgender activist at the vanguard of the gay rights movement, was a central figure in the 1969 Stonewall uprising whose contributions were often under-reported and unacknowledged. Two recent movies about Ms. Johnson and her work for gay and transgender rights, shine a light on the remarkable legacy she left behind and the violence experienced by many transgender women of color throughout society.
