Julia Salazar is the youngest woman ever elected to the New York State Senate. In little more than a year, she has played crucial roles in passing some of the strongest tenant protections in the country and is advancing change in housing, labor rights, and gender equity, as Chair of the Committee on Women's Health. Senator Salazar will discuss her experiences and the potential of the new progressive politics of which she is a part.
