Michael Hallsworth PhD is Managing Director of the Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) in North America. BIT was set up by the then UK Prime Minister in 2010 as the first government institution dedicated to applying behavioral sciences. Michael will discuss BIT's work in health and healthcare, which he previously led. He will present a set of practical interventions that used behavioral science to reduce missed appointments, influence antibiotic prescribing, de-bias clinical decisions, and get patients care quicker. He will also talk about how behavioral science can influence high-level policy making.
