The Executive MS in Epidemiology is designed for working professionals.
Classes meet one long weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) each month for 20 months. Outside the classroom, students collaborate closely with peers via online tools, email, and phone calls. Most completed assignments are submitted through the e-learning platform.
Supportive features accommodate the needs of the executive student, including meals each day that classes meet, workshops to refresh or sharpen research skills, and dedicated mentoring and advising.
The opening weekend includes a full day of orientation to introduce the resources available to you as an executive student of Columbia's Mailman School of Public Health.
Breakfast, lunch, and coffee are provided each day that you attend class.
Program-related software will be installed on your personal laptop, and a program fee will be charged each semester to cover the cost of software and meals.
Each student will have a dedicated faculty advisor who will be available for scheduled meetings on the weekends that classes meet. Advisors are also available by phone or email on weekdays throughout the month.
