“Approximate Bayesian Computation: treasure trove or trivial pursuit?â€
Approximate Bayesian Computation (ABC) has become a standard part of the statistician’s toolbox.
In this talk he will outline what ABC is about, how it arose, and what it can (and cannot) do.
He will illustrate the approach with a cancer evolution problem arising in the analysis of sequencing data.
