The Center has three Facility Cores available to Center members. They are the:
Exposure Assessment Facility Core
Integrative Health Sciences Core
Trace Metals Facility Core
The Exposure Core provides and designs equipment for air monitoring, exposure assessment, and measuring allergens. It is directed by Dr. Steve Chillrud at LDEO. The Core includes Geochemistry and Organic labs at LDEO directed by Drs. Chillrud and by2142 [at] columbia.edu (Beizhan Yan), respectively, and an Allergen lab at EHS directed by Dr. Matt Perzanowski. Dr. Patrick Kinney at EHS is the Exposure Assessment Design Leader.
The Integrative Health Sciences Core combines a biomarkers shared facility which processes and stores biospecimens for various research studies directed by Dr. Regina Santella, and a biostatistical data management component where Center members have access to epidemiologic, statistical, and data management expertise directed by Dr. Seamus Thompson.
The Trace Metals Core analyses biological samples for a variety of metals under the direction of Dr. Joseph Graziano.
