Brandon Pearson behavioral neuroscientist and toxicologist. Dr. Pearson's research focuses on the biology of brain disease and aging. In particular, his group studies the impact of complex environmental stressors on neurotoxicological outcomes, germ line epigenetic inheritance, and aging. The lab utilizes a combination of cellular and animal models, molecular biology, and bioinformatics. Through a combination of expertise in neurotoxicology, epigenetics, stress, and behavioral models, the lab has a unique strength in evaluating of human-relevant environmental stressors with the potential to contribute to complex disease. The lab is currently focusing research on how complex stressors and chemicals alone, or in association with each other, alter developmental processes implicated in neurodevelopment, neurodegeneration, aging, and cancer in order to define effective precision prevention strategies.
