Graduation

The Mailman School confers degrees three times a year – in October, February, and May but only holds a May ceremony. In order to have one’s degree conferred in May and participate in the commencement ceremony, students must file an application. All applications will be reviewed by both your academic department and the Office of Student Affairs.

The application deadlines for each of the degree conferrals is as follows:

The Mailman School of Public Health has one commencement ceremony per year, which is held in May. October, February, and May graduates typically receive information about the May commencement ceremony in mid-to-late March. Please check this site regularly beginning in mid-March for updates. 

Note: Diplomas are mailed to your diploma address, which can be updated in SSOL. It takes approximately 6-8 weeks after your graduation date to receive your diploma.
