Environmental Health Sciences

The Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) in Environmental Health Sciences is an academic degree indicating qualification for independent research and teaching in the area of environmental risks to human health.

To be considered for admission to the DrPH program, applicants must have a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree (or its equivalent) from an accredited school of public health and satisfy additional admissions requirements specific to the Mailman School of Public Health.

As part of the application process, each applicant is asked to describe an area or areas of research interest in a 500-word personal statement. As this important aspect of the application enables the admissions committee to evaluate whether the applicant’s interests match those of the faculty, applicants are encouraged to review the research interests of faculty prior to applying.

The deadline to submit an online application for fall admission is December 1st. Spring applications are not accepted.
