Student Support

Student Support Services is positioned to provide resource referrals, guidance, advocacy, and ongoing, non-clinical support when personal challenges arise. If you are experiencing personal challenges (e.g., family, environment, health, generally struggling) that are impeding your ability to perform at your optimum, you should be in contact with us. Additionally, Student Support can assist in getting students connected to academic support options, as well as accommodation implementation. If you need additional personal support or do not know where to turn, please reach out to Meurcie Zignoli, Director of Student Support, who will get you connected to the appropriate support.

NOTE: Student Support is not an emergency response mechanism. If you need immediate support, please call 911 or Public Safety (212-305-8100).

Student Engagement

Our dedicated engagement team is here to support you in bringing your initiatives to life. We will connect you with numerous student organizations that champion critical public health causes. Whether you are an individual student with a vision or a group of students looking to address unmet public health needs, we are here to assist you in creating new student organizations.

At the heart of our work, we plan, promote, and facilitate a wide range of events within the Mailman community and throughout the NYC community. These events provide invaluable opportunities for networking, leadership, and collaboration. One of our annual events is the Student Life Expo that takes place in September, where you can meet student organization leaders and explore the various resources available through our Student Life offices.

We are committed to fostering a thriving community where students can engage in meaningful discussions, exchange ideas, and contribute to the advancement of public health. Whether you are interested in attending events, starting your own organization, or simply seeking support, you can contact Muriel Ambrus, Student Engagement Coordinator, and Anya MacLachlan, Assistant Director of Student Affairs.
