Congratulations again on your admission and welcome to the Mailman School of Public Health. The information below is only for newly admitted students who have reserved and received departmental permission to begin coursework this summer. 

A brief orientation has been scheduled for students beginning their coursework over the summer (summer 1 session and/or summer 2 sessions). We look forward to seeing you on Thursday, May 19 from 3:00-5:00pm in Hess Student Commons. Please contact us at MSPH-OSA@columbia.edu with any enrollment related questions or use our department contacts link (left menu) to email your academic liaison with questions specific to your academic program. Additional information about summer orientation will be sent to your application email address.

Course registration for summer 1 takes place online Thursday, May 19 and Friday, May 20. Summer 2 registration takes place online Tuesday, June 28 and Wednesday, June 29. Before you can register, you must activate your UNI. A UNI is a unique network identifier and it is required for many Columbia IT applications.  You should activate your UNI before you arrive on campus. Please review the Registration and Course Information website for additional information.

Students beginning their coursework in the summer are required to complete and submit their Student Health Service information as soon as possible. Failure to provide Student Health Service (SHS) with required information (immunization records and physical) will result in a registration hold. Please note, the submission deadline for students beginning coursework this summer iwas April 29, 2011. We realize this deadline has passed so we ask you turn in your information as soon as possible.

After you register on online in mid-May, you will be able to pick up your student ID card from the CUMC ID office. You may choose to upload a photo in advance of your registration. A UNI is required. 
 
Orientation week for Fall 2011 will be from Monday, August 29 through Friday, September 2. All students who begin coursework over the summer are encouraged to participate in the orientation week activities and get to know their incoming classmates.  Please check the main orientation website now and again in August for additional details.
