Washington Heights Tour and Reception at Morris-Jumel Mansion
Get up close and personal with Washington Heights as a current student, alumnus, or Mailman faculty member leads you on a tour of the local community. After a 45 minute walking tour, you’ll join your classmates and members of the Mailman community for an outdoor dinner reception at the Morris-Jumel Mansion. This event will take place rain or shine so please dress according to the weather.
Night Out in Midtown: Johnny Utah’s
Nothing will help you get to know your classmates better than a ride on Manhattan’s original mechanical bull. Ride at your own risk! Enjoy appetizers and happy hour drink pricing while you spend a Thursday night in midtown with you new colleagues. A special section of Johnny Utah’s has been reserved for you. This is a 21+ event and be sure to check in with a member of the host staff to get your wristband for the Mailman event specials.
Broadway Night: Phantom of the Opera, Addams Family, and Spider-man: Turn Off the Dark
Broadway Theater is one of the most well-known aspects of New York City and attracts people from around the world. This year we’re able to offer students an opportunity to purchase discounted tickets to three of Broadway’s biggest performances: Phantom of the Opera , Addams Family , and Spider-man: Turn Off the Dark. Only 40 tickets are available for each show and students are limited to one ticket each. Tickets purchased online will be available for pick up from the TIC (Ticket and Information Center) starting August 24 during TIC operating hours. Please note that tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis, so don’t delay your purchase if you’re interested in seeing a show.
