Alumni Networking Program

The Alumni Networking Program provides an important forum for matriculates and alumni to discuss areas of mutual career interest, and a superior network for career information and advancement. The program is most valuable when we enlist participants across a wide range of professions and graduating years.

How it Works

As a participant in the Program, you will be providing Mailman School students and other alumni with online access to your name, employer name and location, title, job function, degree type/date and department, and business e-mail address only. Initial contacts are made via e-mail. Although your contact with students/other alumni could be as brief as a telephone conversation, the most beneficial type of exchange would be a meeting at your place of business or other mutually agreeable venue.

Program participants should, at minimum, expect to share:

  • Personal and professional insights into your chosen field of work.
  • Reflections on the most and least satisfying aspects of your work.
  • Information on professional opportunities (e.g., the career ladder) that exist in your chosen field.
  • Comments regarding your education and experiential preparation for your chosen career. Was it adequate? How might you have been better prepared?
  • The names of other personal and/or professional contacts who might provide additional insights.

Additional areas of inquiry might focus on more specific job function, industry and employer information.

To participate in the Alumni Networking Program simply complete the on-line program survey.

In addition to volunteering for the Alumni Networking Program, please consider assisting us by:

  • Informing us of practica, internship, and full-time permanent positions with your employer. Please post opportunities here.
  • Volunteering to participate in career education activities (e.g., career panels, job/career fairs, etc.) sponsored by the Office of Career Services.
