Joseph H. Graziano, PhD, Department of Environmental Health Sciences, has received $14.96 million over five years, in a competitive renewal, from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences for “Health Effects and Geochemistry of Arsenic and Manganese.”

 

 

Moise Desvarieux, MD, PhD, DMM, Department of Epidemiology, has received $3.8 million until 2017, in a competitive renewal, from the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research for “Oral Infections and Vascular Disease Epidemiology Study (INVEST).”

 

 

Patrick Wilson, PhD, Department of Sociomedical Sciences, has received $2.89 million over five years from the National Institute of Mental Health for “Efficacy Trial of a Brief Health Enhancement Intervention for Newly Diagnosed Men.”

 

 

Elaine Abrams, MD, ICAP, has received $2.5 million over three years from the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development for “Rapid Initiation of Antiretroviral Therapy in Pregnant Women in South Africa.”

 

 

Iuliana Ionita-Laza, PhD, Department of Biostatistics, has received $1.3 million over four years from the National Institute of Mental Health for “Novel Statistical Methods for DNA Sequencing Data and Applications to Autism.”

 

 

David Abramson, PhD, National Center for Disaster Preparedness, has received $1.17 million over two years from the Baton Rouge Area Foundation for “Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill Child Impact Assessment.”

 

 

 

Karolynn Siegel, PhD, and Eric Schrimshaw, PhD, Department of Sociomedical Sciences, have received $440,000 over two years from the National Institute of Mental Health for “Smartphone Applications for Sexual Partnering among MSM.”

 

Erica Gibson, MD, Heilbrunn Department for Population & Family Health and Pediatrics (P&S), has received $1.5 million over four years from the New York State Department of Health Bureau of Maternal and Child Health for "CAPP Component B: Improving Community Healthcare for Adolescents."

Marita K. Murrman, EdD, MS, Department of Sociomedical Sciences, has received $2.6 million over four years from the Health Resources and Services Administration for "Affordable Care Act (ACA) Public Health Training Centers."

 

 

Therese McGinn, DrPH, Heilbrunn Department of Population & Family Health, has received an anonymous gift of $1.14 million over 16 months for the RAISE Initiative.
