Completing Your Online Application

Please review the following initial steps in completing your online application:

  • Check the admissions deadlines. Review of materials submitted after the deadline is at the discretion of the department.
  • Review the application process to ensure that you have completed all required application materials.
  • Review the minimum work experience requirements (pdf) to ensure that you meet the program requirements.
  • After submitting the first page of your electronic application, you will be given a user ID and password that allows you to re-access and edit your application.
  • If you already have an Apply Yourself PIN from another Columbia University school, you can use the same PIN to access our application.

Please note:

  • Applicants may not apply more than twice to master’s degree programs at the Mailman School.
  • PhD applicants must apply through the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences (GSAS). For more information please see the GSAS website.

Supplemental documents should be sent to the Office of Admissions.

Application Fee

A non-refundable $60 application fee is required, payable by credit card, with the submission of your online application.
