Karestan Koenen was recruited as an associate professor of Epidemiology. Her area of research is the mediating role of genetics and environment on trauma outcomes. She joins us from Harvard's School of Public Health.

Jeffrey Shaman joined us as assistant professor of Environmental Health Sciences. His area of expertise is climate and health. Prior to joining the Mailman School, he was an assistant professor in the College of Oceanic and Atmospheric Sciences, Oregon State University and, earlier, a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Climate and Global Change post-doctoral fellow at Harvard University.
