Meeting Space Reservations

The Mailman School of Public Health is a dynamic research environment that encourages and supports interdisciplinary team science. A key logistical support is access to meeting space. The many departments and centers at MSPH offer meeting space accommodating 8 to 35 participants.

Meeting and Conference Rooms provides a complete list of the space available (which are distributed across 3 buildings), as well as information regarding available equipment/technology.

If you are affiliated with a Mailman department, program, or center, whether faculty, staff, or student, you may request to reserve one of these rooms following the instructions below.

General Instructions for Reserving a Room

If you wish to reserve a room, you may do so by e-mailing the appropriate contact(s) for that room as listed in Meeting and Conference Rooms, any time from 1-15 days ahead of the scheduled meeting date.

In your email, please include:

  • Your name, UNI, and email address
  • Your departmental/center affiliation
  • Your position (faculty, staff, or student)
  • Date of the meeting, start time, end time
  • Purpose of the meeting (e.g., research, service, or education)
  • Department/school/center/organization affiliations of participants

The designated room contact(s) will let you know whether the room is available and can be reserved for you at the requested time. Please be sure to acknowledge the response, and let the contact know if you are confirming. Also inform the contact if your plans change and you will NOT need the room, so that others who need space will be able to book it.

Note that if you happen to be on the Microsoft Exchange server, you are able to see availability for selected rooms by following the instructions (see Room Reservation Instructions). You may not book any rooms directly, however; once you have ascertained whether a room is available, you should then follow the instructions above to contact the appropriate individual to reserve the room.

Please bear in mind that meeting space is a valuable asset, and be sure to leave each room in the same condition as you found it. Failure to meet this request could result in termination of room-booking privileges.

Finally, note that there are separate systems for reserving our really large spaces (Hess Commons on the 10th floor and the Auditorium on the 8th floor of the Rosenfield Building). To reserve these rooms, please visit:
