Compliance

In accepting a grant or contract from a governmental agency, private foundation, or industry or other funding entity (also known as a “sponsor”), the University is obligated to comply with a number of rules and regulations promulgated by that funding agency.

All funding agencies require compliance with generally accepted accounting principles in the financial and administrative management of programs, while the U.S. government typically provides more specificity than private funders. Among those obligations are requirements related to:
