Eligibility for Computer Support

Desktop technicians at the Mailman School provide free, on-campus desktop support to School faculty and staff and their official work computers (computers purchased by the University for their use), either desktops or laptops. (Students receive computer support from CUMC IT via 5help.)

Please note: The team does not support personal computers, nor do resources permit them to make housecalls even if the primary work computer is housed off campus. In the case of an off-campus work computer, the team will troublshoot to the best of their ability using remote troubleshooting software. However, please keep in mind that the team cannot troubleshoot any issues related to the user's personal Internet Service Provider (ISP), even if it is used for work.
