Publications Assistance

The Office of Communications can consult with you during the planning process for your brochure or other collateral materials and offer guidance on issues such as budget and production schedule, messaging and content, other style guidelines, and outside vendors, including designers and mail houses.

Here is a list of initial questions to think about when planning a brochure or other publication:

  • What other publications has your department/center/program produced?
  • What publications/communications do you have planned for the next 12-18 months?
  • What is the budget and timeline for this publication?
  • Who is your audience for this publication?
  • Do you regularly work with certain designers, printers, or other vendors?
  • Do you have the Mailman School’s visual identity standards manual? If you are currently working with a designer, have you forwarded the School’s standards manual to the designer? (For more visual identity information, visit the Branding page.)
