Discussing: Understanding and promoting access to maternal health care on the frontlines.
The AMDD team will discuss their current work in light of their history and the ongoing gaps in the field of maternal health. They will briefly outline their past work and then describe what they believe are current advocacy, research, and implementation priorities. Given these priorities, AMDD is focusing efforts in a few key areas:implementation science, accountability, referral, task shifting, and access to emergency obstetric care. The team will describe the content of their work in these areas, as well as how it adds value to global thinking on maternal health and health systems.
