Environmental Health Sciences

MPH Degree Track - Global Health

Each department participates in this school-wide track and brings to it their unique perspective on this growing field. As the world's population grows and its resources are diminished, there are growing health needs related to environmental exposure. This can range from drinking contaminated water that is either polluted because or poor sanitation or contains natural contaminates such as arsenic to exposure to toxic air pollutants produced from poorly designed indoor cooking stoves. Our students learn how environmental pollutants impact human health and then study specific aspects of this issue in a semester long practicum abroad.
