There are a number of awards given out during the spring semester and in particular around the time of Commencement. Most awards are given out at the Mailman School's Award Ceremony. This event occurs on Tuesday May 20th (the night before Commencement). One faculty award is given out during the Mailman Commencment ceremony on Wednesday May 21st.

There are many other student awards that are facilitated by individual departments. These are presented at the Awards Ceremony. Please see your department for more details. • Students who will be receiving department and/or school awards will be notified by their departments
• Nominess must RSVP by Friday, May 2, 2008.
  
• The event will start promptly at 5:00 p.m. and is anticipated to end by 7:00 p.m. All graduates are welcome to attend.

• The Bernard Challenor Spirit Prize
  For demonstrating a commitment to building community, across department boundaries, at the Mailman School of Public Health.
   
• The John and Kathleen Gorman Public Health Humanitarian Award
  For students who have demonstrated excellence in commitment to the humane care of individuals and communities, and in advancing consideration of human rights, and value in health care and prevention.
