Committees

All graduates are welcome to participate in alumni affairs by joining a committee. Please contact the Office of Alumni Affairs to get involved.

Special Events Committee

Chair: Erin Hogan, MPH '04
The Special Events Committee is responsible for facilitating alumni participation in Mailman School Alumni Association events, and for assisting in the planning and hosting of various alumni activities, including the annual Alumni Summit and reunions.

Alumni Outreach Committee

Co-Chairs: Steven Lazarus, MPH '04 and Ralph Goldstein, BS '76 (Pharmacy)
The Alumni Outreach Committee is responsible for developing strategies to strengthen the connection between alumni and the Mailman School. This committee works to locate alumni, create affinity and regional groups and develop networking opportunities to engage alumni. Committee members are encouraged to host activities or organize events to increase interaction between alumni locally, nationally and globally.

Student and Alumni Relations Committee

Chair: Nancy Barhydt, DrPH '79
The Student and Alumni Relations Committee is responsible for developing strategies to strengthen the bond between alumni and students, helping to enhance the student experience at the Mailman School. In conjunction with the Offices of Alumni Affairs, Student Affairs and Career Services, this committee works to provide professional development guidance as well as identify internship and job opportunities.

Nominating Committee

Chair: Thomas Campbell Jackson, MPH ’98
The Nominating Committee is responsible for recruiting and recommending a slate of candidates for election to the Board, and for identifying a diverse representation of various disciplines among the alumni body. Membership is limited to Board members only.

Development Committee

Chair: Nina Rothschild, DrPh ’00
The Development Committee is responsible for strategizing fundraising-related programs and appeals, and for identifying new resources and sponsorship consistent with the goals and mission of the School. Membership is limited to Board members only.
