MPH Programs of Instruction
Columbia MPH (matriculation on or after Fall 2012)
- Beginning in Fall 2012, the Columbia MPH includes a Certificate program that provides training in a second, more focused area of expertise beside your discipline. The School will offer more than 20 Certificate programs in 2012, including Certificates in areas such as global health, aging, climate change, and molecular epidemiology. Accelerated MPH (matriculated on or after Fall 2012)
- The School will introduce the Accelerated MPH program beginning in Fall 2012. The intensive, one-year program is designed for highly motivated professionals seeking to enhance their career with a degree in public health. The curriculum is similar to the 2-year Columbia MPH but completed at a faster, more demanding pace.
MPH (matriculation before Fall 2012)
- General Public Health is intended for MPH candidates with prior health professional training and at least two years of public health experience. Beginning in Fall 2012, it will be offered as part of the Accelerated MPH program.
- Global Health is an interdisciplinary program open to MPH applicants of any of the School’s six academic departments. Beginning in Fall 2012, it will be offered as a Certificate as part of the Columbia MPH program.
