Faculty & Staff

The following Mailman School faculty and staff specialize in practicum issues and are available to talk to students, faculty, mentors, and supervisors of existing practicum sites or organizations interested in becoming a practicum site.

Lourdes Hernandez-Cordero, DrPH, is the Practicum Director in the Department of Sociomedical Sciences and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Sociomedical Sciences. She is available by appointment for student practicum advisement, practicum placements, and response to practicum challenges. She is located at 722 West 168th Street, Room 916. Sara Shoener, MPH, is the Practicum Coordinator in the Department of Sociomedical Sciences and a student in the Sociomedical Sciences DrPH program. She oversees the logistics of the practicum process including Practicum Agreement Form approval, Summary Report submission, and practicum evaluation distribution.
