The Aging and Public Health Track is designed for students interested in understanding the public health challenges associated with aging and the increasingly elderly American and world populations. Students completing the MPH in Aging and Public Health are well-qualified to address the challenges and opportunities posed by increased longevity, as well as related changes in the delivery and financing of healthcare for the aging population. Upon program completion, students may go on to doctoral study or enter the growing fields of service delivery, policy, and/or research in elder care.
*Note for Prospective Applicants: Beginning in the Fall 2012, the School is moving to a new Certificate program. MPH students in the 2-year Columbia MPH program will identify an area of focus from more than 20 offerings including: Health of an Aging Society; Global Health; and History, Ethics, and Law.
