GHI invests in long-term relationships with international academic and research institutions, as well as with governmental and non-governmental organizations. These partnerships, founded upon mutual respect and equitable benefit, link the academic and research expertise at the Mailman School with those of other schools at Columbia University and beyond. Building on these synergies, we act with a collective sense of determination to scale up models that have proven successful.
Comprised of several of the Mailman School’s long-standing global health partners, the GHI’s International Partnership Alliance promotes new joint projects and forges connections between academics and practitioners that increase the influence and impact of strategies on the ground.
CU’s Global Centers are research-driven, region-specific hubs of activity that establish collaborative programming; facilitate exchange between faculties and graduate students; and promote mutual cooperation on education and scientific research in strategic locations around the world. The Centers provide another avenue for initiating and strengthening relationships abroad with leading public health academics, practitioners, and organizations.
