HPM Graduates on the National Stage
Dr. Linda Y. Landesman
Both candidates for American Public Health Association president-elect are graduates of the Mailman School of Public Health’s Department of Health Policy and Management. Linda Y. Landesman received her DrPH in 1990 and Adewale Troutman graduated with his MPH from the Executive MPH Program in 1992.
The candidates have both had expansive careers in public health as administrators, clinicians, educators, policy makers and authors. Dr. Landesman is currently an Assistant Vice President of the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation. Dr. Troutman is Professor and Executive Director of Public Health Leadership and Practice
at the University of South Florida.

The member elected by the Governing Council will become president-elect at the close of the 2011 APHA Annual Meeting and assume presidency at the close of the 2012 Annual Meeting.
