Service

Many of the infectious disease faculty are engaged in the development of service programs in New York City. Some of these are based at the affiliated Harlem Hospital Center; others focus on support of clean needle access programs for substance users in New York City communities.

Through these programs, solid linkages have been established with key community-based organizations. In addition, work by Dr. El-Sadr and other CIDER faculty in support of programs through ICAP has made substantial contributions to the development of service programs around the world. These programs position the Department and the School to build ever more robust training and research opportunities for our students and faculty.
