Intern Opportunity: Social Inequalities in Cancer

Intern required in conducting research into topics relating to social inequalities in health and cancer. Work will involve literature review of social inequalities in cancer. This includes, but is not limited to: outlining specific literature findings, helping to identify possible courses of research, summarizing broad literatures, etc. The research posting is short-term, meant to supplement Master’s level coursework by giving actual research experience. Opportunity provides for the possibility of attending an academic conference, with possible presentation experience. Internship organized by the Center for the Study of Social Inequalities and Health, and is not paid, though assistance with practicum is offered in exchange for intern hours.

Necessary Experience:

The successful applicant must demonstrate an interest in research into Social Inequalities in Cancer. This does not necessitate prior experience in the area, though experience would be looked upon favorably. An ability to read and comprehend quantitative research is required, as well as an interest in biological processes and methodological issues relating to this research.
