Giving Opportunities

The Center's Endowment Campaign offers numerous opportunities to support the Center. Our immediate goal is to raise $3.5 million dollars by 2012, a goal that we can reach with your help.

Specific naming opportunities include the following:

Junior Faculty Global Public Health Professorship

Your contribution will help ensure future research in the history and ethics of global public health. The endowed junior faculty professorship will focus on the global transmission of and response to disease. Funding for the professorship, which requires a total endowment of $1.5 million, will also provide research support for this tenure-track position.

Doctoral Student Support

Your assistance will help sustain and expand the work of three doctoral students in the history and ethics of public health. Endowed funding for doctoral students will help the Center attract the best and brightest doctoral candidates. This gift will fund tuition, stipends, and dissertation research. A total of $1.2 million is required to endow three doctoral student opportunities.

Annual Seminar Series

Help create an annual seminar or conference on a critical public health issue of global importance. The topics of the annual seminar or conference will emphasize the integration of history and ethics with global public health, and attract national and international policy-makers. Your gift will help the Center meet new global public health challenges and enhance its influence. A total of $350,000 is needed to endow this seminar series

Annual Lecture Event

Support an annual lecture event that will help engage a broad audience of policy makers, scholars, and the public. Lecture events will include key figures in the history and ethics of global public health, medicine, and science. A total of $200,000 is needed to endow this annual lecture.
