Recently established, the Center for Child, Adolescent and Family Life Epidemiology is developing training activities through teaching, mentoring, and advising of graduate students at Columbia University. We also plan to expand training internationally through collaborations with sister schools in other countries in the areas of disability and development.
In addition, the Center offers training to research and clinical staff involved in international research projects. We are engaged in ongoing collaborative learning involving faculty and graduate students through the CAFLE ASENZE seminars. With our colleagues at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and our Fogarty NIDA-funded study, we are engaged in research capacity building in South Africa.
An application for a federally funded doctoral training program in Reproductive, Perinatal and Pediatric Epidemiology is currently under review by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (ICHD).
