During the Fall and Spring semesters, the Department of Biostatistics holds seminars on a wide variety of topics which are of interest to both students and faculty. The speakers are occasionally departmental faculty members themselves but very often invited guests who spend the day of their seminar discussing their research with Biostatistics faculty and students. Each year a member of the faculty serves as Seminar Coordinator. Yuanjia Wang, PhD, assistant professor of Biostatistics (in Psychiatry), is the Seminar Coordinator for the 2010-2011 academic year.
Seminars are held on Thursday afternoons at 4:00 p.m. in the Biostatistics Computer Lab, room R656. An informal departmental tea for students and faculty precedes the colloquium at 3:40 p.m. A schedule of speakers and topics is available each semester.
Please check back for topics and abstracts of upcoming seminars.
